Assistant General Manager – AELTC Wimbledon
Assistant General Manager with a passion for luxury hospitality will deliver five‑star hospitality across Members Dining at the All England Lawn Tennis Club (AELTC). The role requires leading a premium hospitality team, ensuring seamless guest experiences for AELTC members and event guests, and supporting operation throughout the year, including the Championships.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver exceptional food and service standards across all areas of the Clubhouse.
* Build strong relationships with members through communication, professionalism and attention to detail.
* Lead and inspire a high‑performing team, fostering a positive, service‑driven culture.
* Oversee recruitment, onboarding, training and ongoing development of staff.
* Manage rotas and staffing levels to meet operational demands.
* Ensure accurate financial processes including daily sales reconciliation, member billing and cash handling.
* Uphold Health & Safety and Food Safety standards, maintaining full compliance with Compass Group policies and legal requirements.
* Collaborate with the AELTC Club Office and committees to support events, match‑day catering and club KPIs.
Required Qualifications
* Passion for delivering exceptional, customer‑focused service and building rapport with members.
* Proven experience managing diverse teams in private members’ clubs or five‑star establishments.
* Flexible availability to support a seven‑day‑a‑week operation.
* Confident and personable, comfortable engaging with senior executives.
* Strong problem‑solving skills with clear examples of overcoming challenges.
* Impeccably groomed with a polished and professional appearance.
* Calm, dignified demeanour and adaptable to changing work demands.
* Strong organisational skills, able to plan, prioritise and manage daily tasks efficiently.
