Lead Manufacturing Manager - 12 month FTC
Starting salary of £60,000, potential 18% bonus & 27.5 days holiday (plus bank holidays)

About the role
As a Manufacturing Operations Manager, you will lead, develop, and optimise all manufacturing activities to deliver safe, high-quality, and cost-effective production. You will be responsible for ensuring performance to plan, driving continuous improvement, and building a high-performing team within the manufacturing facility.
This is a key leadership role, focused on operational excellence, efficiency, and delivering consistent results across safety, quality, cost, and delivery.
Responsibilities
* Lead day-to-day manufacturing operations to achieve production targets
* Manage labour, materials, and machinery to deliver the production plan
* Champion a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all standards
* Lead, coach, and develop managers, team leaders, and frontline colleagues
* Monitor and drive performance against KPIs including productivity, quality, and efficiency
* Drive continuous improvement using Lean, 5S, and structured methodologies
* Lead operational reviews and ensure strong governance of processes and standards
* Work cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, and Planning teams
* Manage budgets, resources, and cost controls to meet financial targets
* Support new product introduction, engineering changes, and improvement projects
About You
* Proven experience in manufacturing or production management within a complex environment
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop and motivate high-performing teams
* Experience in continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to drive decisions
* Good understanding of production planning, resource management, and operational delivery
* Strong knowledge of health & safety and quality standards
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
