About the role
We are looking for a new Academic Governance Officer who is dedicated to delivering high standards of customer service. The post is located within the Quality and Standards team, which is responsible for the University’s centrally managed academic quality assurance and standards systems that support the University’s strategy and mission.
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual for this busy, challenging and varied post to provide comprehensive administrative support and assistance to the Senior Academic Governance Officer.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of working at a highly competent level with digital systems, especially Word, Excel and Outlook. Experience of working within Higher Education would be an advantage. The post-holder will be expected to become a source of expertise on the University’s quality and standards processes and be able to provide guidance to academic colleagues on the application of correct procedure.
The post-holder should have the ability to deliver the highest level of effectiveness in administrative arrangements and support as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills. The successful candidate will be organised, able to work well under pressure and be able to prioritise a heavy workload within a busy environment.
Applicants should have a Level 3 qualification and/or equivalent experience as a minimum requirement.
This position does not meet the UKVI salary requirements for Skilled Worker visa sponsorship. Applicants must therefore demonstrate their right to work in the UK without sponsorship.
