CSA Construction Manager (Contract)
Rate: £420-£440 per day (Outside IR35)
Contract Length: Initial 6 months

Overview
We are currently recruiting for an experienced CSA Construction Manager to join a live project on an immediate start basis. The role is initially offered as a 6‑month contract, with strong potential for extension depending on project requirements.
This position would suit a CSA‑led Construction Manager who is also competent overseeing M&E installations, ideally gained within highly regulated environments and working for a Tier 1 contractor.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead and manage CSA construction activities on site, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, and to specification
2. Provide oversight and coordination of M&E installations, ensuring effective interface with CSA works
3. Manage subcontractors and work packages, chairing site meetings and driving performance
4. Ensure full compliance with HSEQ standards, regulatory requirements, and client expectations
5. Coordinate with design, commercial, and project management teams to resolve technical and programme challenges
6. Oversee quality inspections, snagging, and handover activities
7. Maintain accurate site records, reporting progress, risks, and mitigation strategies to senior management
Candidate Requirements
8. Proven experience as a CSA Construction Manager on large‑scale construction projects
9. Strong CSA background with demonstrable competence managing M&E works
10. Experience working in highly regulated sectors (e.g. pharmaceutical, life sciences, data centres, healthcare, nuclear, MOD, or similar)
11. Previous experience working for a Tier 1 main contractor
12. Strong understanding of construction sequencing, commissioning interfaces, and compliance standards
13. SMSTS, CSCS (Black or Gold), and First Aid (desirable)
14. Able to start immediately or at very short notice
