Live Wire has worked across Formula 1 for the past 10 years, supplying technology to major teams and F1 Management. Our work includes constructing viewer experiences in hospitality suites, paddock, garages, and factories, elevating each of the 24 races a year. We collaborate with suppliers to deliver pioneering technology and innovation.
We provide AV technology for events such as Festivals, Concerts, Conferences, Theatre, and Dance, working with venues like Southbank Centre, Barbican, and Sadlers Wells in London.
We are looking for AV technicians to join our travelling team, working with clients such as Mercedes, Red Bull, Aston Martin, McLaren, F1 Management, and F1 Academy. The role involves working with cutting-edge equipment across various events, from driver interviews to hospitality entertainment and live race commentary, including pit links. Technicians must work under pressure, deliver exceptional service, and continuously seek improvements.
Responsibilities include managing equipment meticulously, packing and shipping procedures, ongoing maintenance, and prompt repairs. Technicians are also responsible for writing detailed race reports on build, scheduling, equipment use, and sustainability, to be delivered timely to relevant parties.
We value technicians who can mentor junior team members, work seamlessly with operations, production, project, and finance teams to ensure smooth race deliveries, and implement improvements for future events.
This is a full-time role.
Responsibilities:
* Operate high-profile shows with world-class drivers and musicians.
* Create production schedules and kit lists.
* Write debriefs with action points and improvement ideas.
* Maintain and report damages of equipment.
* Work independently with self-motivation.
* Build positive client relationships.
* Communicate effectively with on-track and UK teams.
Requirements:
* At least 5 years of experience in events of varying demands.
* Specialization in lighting, sound, or AV, with broad project management skills.
