Baystate Contracting Services is seeking a full-time assistant project manager/hazardous materials coordinator. Salary range to start between $50,000 to $60,000 a year. Paid time off to be reviewed at hire date. Some key responsibilities of this position are:
* Manage the notifications for the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection and CT DEEP.
* Coordinate the abatement and demolition projects beginning and end dates to streamline the work schedule.
* Manage the submittal packages, closeout packages, license requests, and insurance requirements for customers.
* Managing the daily work schedule, notifying customers of beginning, ending, and milestone dates.
* Manage daily job packages to be distributed to foremen.
* Manage and collect daily air samples for processing.
* Check ongoing jobs as directed by management.
* Bidding/estimating of future work.
Job Description/Requirements:
Baystate Contracting Services currently employs a full-time project manager/coordinator, and the applicant will need to work closely with the current manager to address daily activities and job requirements. Applicants should be proficient in Microsoft applications (i.e. Word, Excel, & Office) and have strong written and oral communication skills. The position requires daily in-office coordination and meetings with its sister company Associated Building Wreckers operations managers to review the overall company goals and maintain job schedules. This position also requires coordination/multitasking with the customer on the job schedule, utility interruptions, site access, collecting generator information, and managing the job dates via the Department of Environmetal Protection website. Baystate contracting services is currently operating between five and eight projects daily and on-site supervision and coordination will be required. The applicant must be acquainted with the operation of the Massachusetts DEP & CT DEEP website, on-line waste profiling of waste materials, e-mail, and text messaging.
Baystate Contracting Services offers a medical benefit package through Health New England and a dental plan from Principal. Employees’ portions of pay vary from year to year based on years of service. We currently have the following holidays off with pay: Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s Day, Columbus Day. We do work Veterans Day and take the day after Thanksgiving off. Short- and long-term disability will be offered through FMLA in 2023. Voluntary life insurance is offered and based on your age supplied and is available after a review period.
