Your New Role
Asthe IT Director, you will lead the IT department,prising around 35permanent staff. Your primary responsibility will be to provide visionaryleadership in realising a business-aligned, scalable IT estate that deliverssynergies, cost efficiencies, and high-performing, resilient systems.
Youwill spearhead the execution of Calmac’s Digital and Data strategies, playing apivotal role in thepany's Transition Programme. This includes overseeingkey initiatives centred on Finance, HR, and Asset Management systems solutions.Furthermore, you will drive digital excellence across the organisation,fostering a culture of innovation and embracing the "art of thepossible" in IT.
What You'll Need to Succeed
- You will need to haveprevious proven leadership experience in managing an IT function, setting clearobjectives, priorities, and effectively managing performance.
- Expertise in leadingdigital initiatives, modernising IT operating models, and embracing acloud-first service approach with a focus on customer and staff experience, andvalue generation.
- A track record as atechnology-led driver of change and continuous improvement across all businessfunctions.
- Excellentcommunication skills, enabling effective engagement with diverse stakeholdersat all levels, both internally and externally.
- Demonstrable successin leading significant IT transformational change projects.
- Relevant professionalqualifications, such as MIET, MAPM, MBCS, or SOCITM.
- Certification orexperience in Enterprise Architecture, Solutions, IT Operations, and ContinuousImprovement.
- Expertise inreservations and ticketing technologies (preferred), modern corporate services(Cloud ERP), and Modern Workplace technology and methods.
- Amercial,innovative, and effective approach to IT business development and operationalimprovement.
- Experience in leadingdesign thinking, hack days, and improvement activities to drive digital change.
