As a Digital Marketing and Website Performance Analyst, you will be responsible for making the best use of data, tools, analytical techniques and industry best practice to deliver analysis of the very highest quality for HSE’s web services and digital platforms, to meet the digital service standard.

Your role as a Digital Marketing and Website Performance Analyst is to improve performance by:
* Collecting and presenting performance data and analysis for HSE’s websites, digital platforms and services, intranet and ebulletins
* Tracking the performance of our online communications and guidance by developing hypotheses, KPIs and audience segments, informing effective content design
* Helping teams understand user needs by providing quantitative and qualitative evidence from web analytics and user feedback
* Providing recommendations for action based on user data in easily understandable and engaging ways - such as show and tells, reports and dashboards
* Participating in the development and maintenance of data / analytics architecture and workflow across the organisation, including instrumentation, link tagging and user management
* Supporting the governance, day-to-day management, and reporting of HSE's email ebulletin service
* Developing the methodology and framework for digital measurement, to ensure we understand how our content performs, so we can iterate and continually improve user experience.

Person specification
Essential Skills And Criteria
* A technical knowledge and understanding of the configuration and deployment of digital analytics tools, including Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager and Looker Studio (formerly known as Google Data Studio)
* Experience of setting up accounts and properties, filters and funnels, custom dimensions, metrics and creating segments and goals.
* Understanding of the implementation and configuration of webpages and analytics
* A working knowledge of data visualization software, including Microsoft Power BI
* Experience of delivering digital communications via a range of platforms and technologies including email, web design and publishing, user research and testing
This post can be based in any of the advertised locations however, the team is based in our Bootle office and there is the expectation that you will attend the location office at least two days per week. As this position may be based at two different working locations, the successful candidate will be subject to multiple placed working and will therefore be able to claim their travel expenses for commuting to the Bootle location.
