Overview
Technical Director HV Plant/Primary Design (Substations) role at Stantec. The role can be based anywhere in the UK and is part of the Transmission and Distribution team within our energy and resources business.
Responsibilities
* Develop and lead the HV team for electrical substation design projects, including FEED design and detailed design for refurbishment/extensions and new-build projects.
* Work closely with other disciplines and lead project delivery at varying scales.
* Coach and develop the wider T&D team; engage with clients and promote innovative solutions and industry best practices.
Qualifications
* A relevant Degree in electrical engineering is required, with overall experience in design and specification production for HV Substation power systems and associated components.
* Chartered Engineer (IET) is preferred.
* Experience as a Contractor Design Approval Engineer (CDAE) as defined by National Grid TP137, or an equivalent role with other clients; TP141 HV Substation qualification is an advantage.
