CFO / Finance Director | Series B SaaS | Executive Leadership Team | London (Hybrid)
New Town Hanover is partnering with a well‑funded Series B SaaS business operating in a fast‑moving, founder‑led environment.
The company is now looking to appoint a hands‑on CFO / Finance Director to lead the finance function and join the Executive Leadership Team, working closely with the CEO, COO and Board.
This role is suited to a finance leader who enjoys operating close to the detail, producing their own outputs, and bringing clarity, rigour and sound judgement to a scaling technology business.
Opportunity
You will take full ownership of the finance function while acting as a key strategic partner to the leadership team. This is a broad role with real influence, where strong technical capability and commercial thinking are equally important.
Key Responsibilities
Own and lead the end‑to‑end finance function
Produce accurate monthly management accounts and supporting analysis
Lead budgeting, forecasting and re‑forecasting processes
Maintain clear visibility of cash, runway and financial performance
Build and maintain financial models to support planning and decision‑making
Ensure all reporting is reconciled, validated and sense‑checked before presentation
Establish and maintain robust financial controls and processes
Manage external accountants, auditors and advisers
Partner with the CEO and leadership team on commercial and operational strategy
Support scenario planning and long‑term financial planning
Engage with investors and senior stakeholders
This is a hands‑on role within a lean finance structure, requiring someone comfortable preparing and reviewing their own work.
Candidate Profile
Experience as a Finance Director, Head of Finance, or senior finance leader
Background within a SaaS, subscription or similar environment
Strong technical finance capability with exceptional attention to detail
Ability to produce management accounts and financial models independently
Strong commercial judgement and stakeholder communication skills, with extensive investor exposure and engagement experience
Qualified accountant with strong academic credentials
Earlier career in a top‑tier advisory environment
Experience working with distributed or remote teams
Exposure to founder‑led or scaling businesses
Location: London (Hybrid – typically 1–3 days in office)
