Here at XPO, we take our people seriously. Were looking for a talented Transport Operator to join us on a temporary, 6-month fixed term basis, working a rotating shift pattern of 4 on 4 off, 3 on 3 off shift pattern covering the Night shift.This is for our contract based in Beeston for Boots.
Although this is a 6-month contract covering maternity cover, there may be an opportunity to become full time on this site or on another contract within the business.

What youll do on a typical day:
Pre-brief and de-brief drivers making sure they are ready to carry out shifts for us safely and in compliance with our KPIs.
Co-ordinate the transport operations on site to meet both customer and company expectations
Liaise with line management to ensure the effective use of Customer vehicles / subcontractors minimising the cost impact to the business
Execute customers plan and make changes where necessary to limit stock outs
Ensure that all drivers are compliant with the working time directive regulations and that any accidents/incidents are logged and communicated to management and customer in a timely manner
First line of communication for the driver workforce.
What you need to succeed at XPO:
A good understanding of fast-paced transport teams / experience working in a transport office.
Excellent communication skills youll be speaking regularly with various stakeholders.
Good understanding of Microsoft packages including Excel and Outlook
