This role offers an opportunity for individuals interested in understanding the intricacies of accounting within the Healthcare sector. You will contribute to the closing of Aviva Health Care books and records and support the financial control framework. A natural curiosity, problem-solving skills, accountability, and clear communication are essential.
A bit about the job:
As part of Aviva's General Ledger Accounting and Financial Control team, you will manage and review complex manual journals and controls, ensuring they meet financial control standards and deadlines. Your responsibilities include analyzing large volumes of data, supporting monthly balance sheet reconciliations, and collaborating with stakeholders to resolve queries. Understanding end-to-end processes and their downstream impacts is vital to ensure accurate financial reporting. This position is key to maintaining robust financial controls and delivering precise financial insights.
Skills and experience we're looking for:
* Finance and accounting knowledge (studying towards a qualification is a plus but not essential)
* Excellent time management and interpersonal skills
* Strong analytical skills and problem-solving ability
* Proficiency in Excel with good analysis skills
* Knowledge of Oracle Financials is desirable but not essential
