Job Responsibilities
* Complete the commissioning cycle for all children's commissioned homes, from brokerage to contract monitoring, ensuring Value for Money and positive outcomes for children.
* Collaborate with social work teams to identify suitable homes and support for Children in Care, including Foster Homes, Residential Homes, Parent and Child Residential and foster homes, Supported Accommodation, and post-18 accommodation.
* Record brokerage and contract monitoring information clearly and in accordance with GDPR/Data Protection regulations.
* Set up contracts with providers and Individual Placement Agreements.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date case recordings for all home-finding searches.
* Attend stability meetings for contract monitoring, addressing issues related to stability at home for any client.
* Ensure all stability meetings, emails, and contract change requests are recorded in line with expectations.
* Work with admin colleagues to update and record new contracts and changes to existing contracts on the relevant tracker.
* Conduct provider visits when necessary.
* Keep trackers and spreadsheets updated to monitor workflows and track progress.
* Support tasks as required by working with the wider contracts team.
Person Specification
* Ability to work in a busy and fast-paced environment, meeting tight deadlines.
* Strong collaborative skills to work effectively as part of a team of 9 staff, including sourcing new homes, monitoring contracts, and supporting the wider service.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to participate in daily MS Teams calls and maintain a lively MS Teams chat stream.
* Passion for finding the right home for every child or young person.
* Willingness to attend monthly team meetings and work in the office at least one day per week, typically on a Thursday.
* Ability to handle confidential information about children, subject to an enhanced DBS check and a check of Local GCC records.
