This Learning Support Assistant position places you at the heart of a specialist education setting in Maidenhead, working closely with children and young people with autism, communication differences, sensory needs and learning disabilities. You will support them throughout the school day — helping them access learning, regulate emotions, build independence, and feel safe.

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:
5. Support pupils 1:1 and in small groups, helping them access learning and social opportunities
6. Use positive and trauma-informed strategies to support emotional regulation
7. Assist with personal care, sensory needs and mobility when required (training provided)
8. Implement individual support plans developed by teachers and therapy teams
9. Observe behaviour patterns and communicate concerns appropriately — developing safeguarding awareness
10. Help create an environment where young people feel safe, respected and empowered
