Job Description:
Role: Senior iOS Engineer
Location: London (Shoreditch) 1–2 days/month – very flexible on hours/WFH
A high-growth, award-winning SaaS EdTech start-up is looking for a Senior iOS Engineer to join the team. If you're the kind of developer who wants real product ownership, a tight-knit team, and the chance to shape the direction of an entire app, this one's for you.
But first, the good stuff:
* Unlimited holiday – most of the team takes 32–35 days, plus office closes for around 2 weeks over Christmas
* Remote-friendly – very flexible on hours, no pressure to commute every week
* MacBook and AirPods – top-tier kit to help you work from home confidently
* Private healthcare – opt-in, available to all UK-based staff
* Collaborative culture – founder, engineers, and designers all work side by side
* Equity & recognition – share scheme available, results are always rewarded
They’re already a market leader with 21M+ annual page views, a #1-rated app across both app stores, and 1 in 4 UK students using their platform to apply to uni. They aim to double that, and your work will directly influence that growth.
What will you be doing?
This is a hands-on iOS role with a fast-growing product and an experienced team. You’ll implement designs supporting a seamless uni search experience, collaborate with back-end and design teams, and take ownership of the app's future.
You’ll write clean, scalable Swift/SwiftUI code, shape architecture, and lay foundations for a growing mobile function. This is ideal if you're ready to step into a lead-track role without all the corporate layers.
What they're looking for:
* 3+ years’ commercial iOS experience (Swift/SwiftUI)
* Experience building scalable apps with good performance and UX
* Strong understanding of OOP, functional programming, and modern design patterns
* Confidence working with REST APIs and GraphQL
* Proactive mindset and ability to work independently
* Cares about product quality, not just shipping features
* Ability to occasionally visit London for team days (monthly is fine)
This is a great opportunity to join a product-led, fast-moving team where your input will shape the roadmap and mobile development.
Sound like your kind of role? Let’s talk.
