Job description
Our client, a leading player in the aerospace sector, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Team Leader - Assemblies to join their team in Burnley. This is a permanent role focused on assembly and manufacturing management within the company's various aerospace programmes.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage and lead the Assembly Manufacturing Engineers serving the A330neo, HTF, Trent, and F7x programmes.
2. Deploy the company's human resources policies, including time and attendance management via the ADP system.
3. Manage skills deployment and development for the Assembly Manufacturing Engineers, ensuring improvement plans are in place.
4. Identify and mitigate any HSE risks associated with team member activity.
5. Work closely with various Programme Pilots to define and implement resource budgets through the MTP process.
6. Manage the deployment and utilisation of all team members to deliver engineering improvement initiatives.
7. Promote a culture of innovation by embedding the participative innovation philosophy.
Job Requirements:
8. Bachelor's degree in an engineering-related subject (or suitable experience).
9. Ability to assist with technical engineering tasks where required.
10. Proven appreciation of business economics and how engineering activities are associated with financial performance.
11. Strong communication skills, both written and oral, and comfort with presenting to both small and large groups.
12. Strong project/programme management skills to ensure work content is planned, resourced, and reviewed effectively.
Desirable Skills:
13. A formal leadership qualification.
14. Proven manufacturing engineering experience within an aerospace context.
