This role will be critical in the delivery ofoptimumquality water to our customers from water treatment works across the region. You willprovidesenior technical/expert scientific advice to the business and your team, beinga technical expert within the team.
You will use your technicalexpertisetoidentifyand mitigate risk ahead of time and develop effective solutionsin mitigating risk.Asset optimisations will be planned and undertaken on site to enable effective and efficient water treatment onsite.
Workingpredominantly onsite, you will manage projects to provide effective and optimised water treatment to mitigate business risk, whilstmaintainingwholesome water to our customers.
You will be part of a Regional out of hours standby support for the business across the region.
Key responsibilities
1. Lead proactive and reactive water quality interventions across operational sites, driving optimisation strategies that balance regulatory compliance, customer safety, cost, and carbon considerations.
2. Act as a key water quality stakeholder within capital delivery and asset governance processes,identifyingemergingrisks, influencing investment decisions, andadvising onwater quality aspects for thecommissioning of new and refurbished assets.
3. Bea recognised technical expert in water quality riskand process science, mentoring colleaguesandincreasing scientific knowledge, skill and competency ofscientists andoperational colleagues.
4. Continuallyseekto understand new ways of workingand use different/newtechnologyto support continuous improvement of our process risk profile.
5. Lead scientific aspectsofWaterServices Business Planinitiatives, mitigatingoperational, financial, and compliance risks.
