Role Description
The CAD Designer will be responsible for turning ideas into reality: working from a 3D scan, creating bespoke parts that will eventually become tangible goods.
They will use advanced CAD software to develop design concepts, collaborate with the engineering team, and ensure all designs adhere to our company mission: to create the world's best engine protection products.
The role, and projects, are split into three stages: Part design, Tool Design, CAM programming.
Experience with part design, on CAD software similar to Autodesk Inventor is essential.
Tool Design is then about designing a working injection mould tool. Experience here is not essential, we can provide full training, but a desire to learn is.
Again, the ideal candidate will be curious and willing to learn CAM programming, a natural evolution after tool design: learning how to program our 5 axis milling machines, to create the mould tool.
Alternatively, if you have experience with CNC machining and would like to further your skills with programming and later CAD design, then please also apply.
As a company, we are growing, and looking for someone to learn and grow with us. Curiosity, methodical working and enthusiasm are what we are looking for.
We are offering flexible working, with at least two days per week at our Baldock office, in order to collaborate effectively with the team. Our preference is for a full time position, however we are open to part time.
