Your new role
They are seeking a proactive and organised Ecology Coordinator to support the delivery of ecological services across a range of development projects. This role is ideal for someone with strong coordination skills, ecological knowledge, and a passion for biodiversity and ecologicalpliance.

Project Coordination:

Manage scheduling and logistics for ecological surveys and assessments.

Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies to ensure smooth project delivery.

Track project progress and ensure timelypletion of deliverables.

Ecological Support:

Assist in the preparation and review of ecological reports, including Preliminary Ecological Appraisals (PEAs), Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) assessments, and protected species survey reports.

Support field teams with data collation and mapping (, GIS).

Maintain and update ecological databases and records.

Ensure all workplies with UK wildlife legislation, planning policy, and internal quality standards.

Monitor and report on ecological mitigation measures and planning conditions.

Team Collaboration:

Work closely with ecological consultants and senior staff to support project delivery.

Coordinate internalmunications and contribute to team development and training initiatives.

What you'll need to succeed

Degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, or a related field.

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in ecological consultancy or environmental coordination.

Strong understanding of UK wildlife legislation and ecological survey methodologies.

Excellent organisational andmunication skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and GIS software (, QGIS or ArcGIS).

Membership of CIEEM or working towards it.

Desirable Skills

Botanical identification proficiency.

Experience with BNG metrics and biodiversity planning.

Apetitive salary in the range of £30,000 - £45,000 depending on experience;
