Building Services Manager
Location: West Midlands
Salary: £80,000 + package

About the Role
We are working on behalf of a Tier 1 contractor to appoint an experienced Building Services Manager to support the Senior Building Services Manager in the delivery of Mechanical, Electrical and Public Health (MEP) services across a portfolio of construction projects in the West Midlands.
The role covers the full project lifecycle, from pre-construction design management through site delivery, commissioning, and handover, ensuring MEP works are fully coordinated, compliant, and delivered in line with the contract programme.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the delivery of MEP services across live and pre-construction projects
* Manage all stages of project delivery to ensure coordination and programme compliance
* Chair and attend regular M&E progress and coordination meetings
* Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports
* Manage temporary site services and incoming utilities
* Lead and coordinate M&E design management activities
* Manage M&E subcontractor site performance, quality, and progress
* Identify and resolve coordination issues and construction blockers
* Ensure compliance with quality, safety, environmental, and legislative requirements
* Coordinate third-party M&E interfaces (lifts, doors, fire systems, specialist equipment, etc.)
* Manage commissioning, client witness testing, and handover activities
* Ensure timely completion of O&Ms, certifications, log books, and user guides
* Maintain strong client and consultant relationships throughout delivery
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
* BTEC, HNC, HND or Degree in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent
* Significant industry experience in building services or construction
* Experience managing M&E design and site delivery on live projects
* Candidates from a contractor, subcontractor, or consultancy backgrounds will be considered
* Strong understanding of BREEAM, Part L, Building Regulations, and industry standards
* Knowledge of construction phasing and programme management
* Strong IT skills, particularly Excel and Word
* Excellent communication, organisational, and report-writing skills
* Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
