HGV Technician
Location: Preston
Salary: Up to £50,000 per year
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Shift: Day shifts (with overtime available)
Overview
We are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Technician to join our growing team in Preston. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a professional and forward-thinking business offering excellent earning potential and extensive ongoing training.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs on HGVs
* Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical faults
* Conduct vehicle inspections in line with DVSA standards
* Prepare vehicles for MOT
* Complete all job cards and service documentation accurately
* Work safely and efficiently in line with company and health and safety standards
Requirements
* Level 3 NVQ (or equivalent) in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or time served
* Previous experience working on HGVs
* Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Full UK driving licence (Class 1 desirable but not essential)
