Teaching Assistant – Durham Secondary School £90–£100 per day | Full-time, term-time | Temporary role starting ASAP Teaching Personnel is looking for a Teaching Assistant to work in a Durham secondary school. What you'll be doing: You'll be in classrooms supporting students - sometimes 1:1, sometimes in small groups. Helping with lesson prep, keeping students engaged, managing the usual classroom dynamics, and working with teachers to make sure lessons run smoothly. It's varied work across different subjects and year groups, so you need to be adaptable. You'll need: Ability to communicate well with children and staff A child workforce DBS on the update service Previous school or childcare experience is useful but not a deal-breaker if you've got the right approach The practical stuff: £90–£100 daily rate depending on your experience and qualifications Full-time hours, term-time only (you get school holidays) Weekly pay via PAYE Temporary position to start, but these sometimes turn into longer placements Location: Durham Start: ASAP Send your CV to Teaching Personnel or call if you're interested.
