Search Recruitment Group are supporting a leading business in Liverpool in their search for a Management Accountant on a 15 month Fixed Term Contract to support the finance function through a critical period. This role is ideal for someone part-qualified or qualified by experience, with strong UK accounting knowledge and experience owning complex areas of the month-end process.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead preparation of the monthly P&L and key journal entries.
* Perform balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
* Maintain the fixed asset register and record depreciation.
* Post and review bad debt provisions, accruals, and other adjustments.
* Submit accurate VAT returns and assist with compliance tasks.
* Manage intercompany recharges (including multi-currency transactions).
* Support year-end processes and audit requests.
* Train and delegate to junior staff as needed
About You:
* Part-qualified (ACCA/CIMA/AAT) or qualified by experience.
* Proven experience with month-end accounting in a UK environment.
* Confident working on complex accounting areas with limited supervision.
* Good Excel skills
* Collaborative, with experience guiding or mentoring junior team members
What's on offer:
Salary 40,000 - 45,000 dependant on experience
