Maintenance Manager Required For a Popular Country Wedding Venue
You would be joining a friendly welcoming team with responsibilities that include:
Helping with day-today venue operations with responsibility for:
Waste dispsal
Monitoring kerosene & gas stocks
Providing an alternative point of contact for the fuses/stop taps/alarms etc
Occasinally assisting with set-up/clear down on wedding days e.g. moving the outdoor chairs when we have an outdoor wedding
Emergency plumbing/electrical damage-limitation & repairs (within the limit of regs)
Managing contractors where required for repairs & ensuring resulting work meets company/regulatory standards
Maintaining and routinely testing/checking fire alarms, emergency lights, fire doors and extinguishers
Helping monitor/manage the servicing of
Sewage Treatment Plant
Gas cookers
Oil Boilers
Fire & Burglar Alarms
Emergency Lighting
PAT & Fixed Wire Testing
Stored water facilities
To assist with preventative maintenance & ensuring the property is kept to a high standard
Painting and decorating
Updating/replacing fixtures & fittings where required
Basic upkeep of the building's structure, e.g. pointing, slipped slates, wood rot etc
Overseeing & occasionally helping the gardening & grounds maintenance team
Overseeing specialist grounds contractors where required (e.g. hedge cutting, tree surgery)
Upkeep of the grounds beyond gardening, e.g. Algon moss treatment, weed spraying, sheep/general fencing, salting & snow clearance, mole traps
Helping with the design/tendering/management of new Building/Decorating Projects
Assisting with purchasing materials/equipment
