This is a permanent, full-time role, working 37.5 hours per week. The salary banding is £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, dependent upon skills and experience, with a company vehicle and benefits package. Locations include London, South East, South West, Midlands, East Anglia and Manchester; candidates based in these areas are sought.
Responsibilities
* Act as Deputy Authorising Engineer in Water Services, Safe Water, Water Hygiene and Treatment
* Identify appropriate training, assessment, and auditing of Responsible Persons for Water and other disciplines as appointed
* Assist with the management of Equans E&S Safety Rules and Procedures for Water Services; write written schemes of control and associated documentation
* Provide technical and engineering support and coaching to ensure Responsible Persons can perform their duties; assist in developing RP/CP to ensure balanced succession planning
* Carry out internal or external auditing activities; evaluate subcontractor documentation and service reports
* Provide guidance on technical issues to appointed projects and contracts

Who are you?
* Direct or indirect Responsible (or Authorised) Person experience in Water Services (indirectly via service provider supports allowed)
* Apprentice trained or NVQ/HNC; ideally degree-qualified in a relevant discipline
* Experience in an M&E maintenance environment
* Excellent interpersonal and customer/client relationship skills
* Valid driving licence
* Desirable: experience in Healthcare Water Services and/or Evaporative Cooling Systems
* Desirable: Healthcare knowledge (HTMs)
* Desirable: knowledge of water hygiene and treatment, closed water systems, swimming/spa pools, and steam boilers
* Desirable: professional qualifications or recognized memberships (e.g., MWMSoc, MIoW, MIHEEM)
* Desirable: knowledge and experience of Ventilation Systems
This role includes a DBS Standard check; ability to pass is essential.
