We are seeking an inspiring prayerful leader with patience, enthusiasm, a pastoral heart and an understanding of rural life to develop the life, ministry, mission and witness of the parishes of the Ashfords Benefice.
Our Benefice of five churches ‘united in Christ for the service of all God’s people’ can be found south of the historic market town of Ludlow in the scenic countryside of South Shropshire.

* provide pastoral care across the Benefice.
* guide and teach, helping us to strengthen our faith and understanding.
* inspire and encourage new initiatives for evangelism in the parishes and to grow congregations.
* nurture and support our lay worship leaders to develop and fulfil their potential.
* encourage us to use our talents for God’s work in the church and the community.
* engage with people of all ages.
* work alongside and support the staff and children of the local school, actively participating in its life and work.
* support our shared diocesan vision to proclaim Christ and grow disciples.
We can offer you the support of:
* A Benefice administrator.
* A small group of local lay worship leaders and retired clergy.
* The diocesan accompanying programme – a mentoring scheme for all clergy new in post.
The ability to travel independently and efficiently on country roads is essential. A full, clean, driving licence and access to own car is desirable.
