Minimum Requirements
Grade certificate or equivalent; A minimum of 3 years experience operating various Constuction machinery on road construction and maintenance; A valid code EC driving license with a valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP).

Key Performance Areas
Operate various types of Construction Machinery; Support road specialists in the construction, maintenance and repair of roads; Perform manual labor; Undertake general duties to support road specialists with the construction, maintenance and repair and cleaning of roads which may include maintenance or improvement of road surfaces, road reserves, road signs and road markings, waterways and structures and related activities; Supervision and utilization of labourers to ensure effective management of subordinates; Perform generic administrative functions pertaining to the post; Appropriate working knowledge and experience in the following will be advantageous: Operating of minor construction machinery and hand tools; Civil construction activities; Safety precautions whilst operating machinery and equipment; Operating general minor and large construction machines; Management and Supervision of staff.
Competencies
Proven knowledge of the following: Construction and Specialised Maintenance Machinery, i.e.: Excavator, Digger Loader, Tipper Truck, Mechanical Broom, Sit-on Tandem Roller, Water Truck, Frontend Loader, Line Marking Machine; Construction, maintenance and repair of roads; Verbal and written communication skills; Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines; Reliable; Able to work in a Team.
