About the Role
Hertfordshire County Council is seeking experienced Social Workers to join our Family Safeguarding Teams. This innovative model of practice is designed to keep more children safely at home with their families through a strengths-based, multi-disciplinary approach.
As a Family Safeguarding Social Worker, you will:
Work directly with children and families to build on strengths and develop sustainable solutions.
Manage complex caseloads, undertaking assessments and interventions under the Children Act 1989.
Collaborate closely with professionals including domestic abuse, substance misuse and mental health specialists to provide holistic support.
Use motivational interviewing and other evidence-based methods to achieve positive outcomes for children.
Contribute to safeguarding plans, attend court where required, and ensure the safety and wellbeing of children remain paramount.About the Service

£1,000 welcome payment (one-off, non-contractual, subject to 3-yearly review)*

Qualified Social Worker (SWE registered)
Experience working with children and families in statutory social work settings
