We are looking for hands on and experienced Clinical Team Lead who is looking to contribute their skillset to our growing clients and staff as we are expanding and we are looking for someone to join us
Responsibilities
Client Management:
· To ensure that the rights of the "service user" are upheld and always promoted, assuring principles of choice, respect dignity and privacy.
· To provide a 'meet and greeting for all new clients into the service, introduce their care team and monitor and review the support closely in the initial first weeks.
· To ensure that the client is aware of their Head Office contacts in respect of Rotas, Invoicing, Personnel and Recruitment, and aware of their local office in respect of Care Quality Commission.
· To visit all service users regularly and deal with any issues raised, review of care and support and facilitate customer team meetings.
· To undertake client reviews monthly and submit review documentation to the Registered Manager.
· To strive to ensure client satisfaction, and deal with client complaints at the first level in accordance with company procedures, liaising with the Registered Manager as required.
· Attend the office on a weekly basis (minimum) to ensure team visibility, oversight, and compliance monitoring.
· Liase with local authorities and any external organizations as of when required
* Undertake initial holistic nursing assessments in partnership with the service user and their family
* Develop individualised care plans in partnership with the service user, their families and other health care professionals to ensure goals are patient focused, realistic and achievable
* Produce standard and bespoke risk management plans for service users, ensuring any identified high risk is escalated and acted upon, working with other stakeholders to plan, monitor and review effectiveness of any plan in place
* Be responsible for the delivery of client specific clinical training for staff within packages
* Be accountable for ensuring all clients allocated are regularly reviewed in accordance with company policies, ensuring high standards of clinical practice and reflecting current organisational and national guidelines and standards
* Explicit responsibility for safeguarding adults and children, ensuring all staff understand and follow safeguarding procedures.
* Strengthen reference to multi-disciplinary team (MDT) working with GPs, consultants, hospital wards, district nurses, social workers, and commissioners.
* Promote clinical governance and participate in audits, incident reporting, and service improvement initiatives.
* Ensure timely communication and escalation of clinical issues to senior management.
Staff Management:
* To ensure that company policies and procedures are understood and followed by all the teams.
* To provide support and guidance to Healthcare Assistants in the completion of their duties and to coach and develop them in delivering a high quality service
* To undertake Healthcare Assistants Competencies and reviews, supervisions, spot checks and appraisals as required, including identification of training needs and submit review documentation to the Registered Manager.
* To assist in NVQ training and assessments for Healthcare Assistants.
* To provide an effective rolling rota for Healthcare Assistants' availability according to company guidelines. Ensure this is updated on the electronic roster systems.
* To ensure Healthcare Assistants adhere to their shifts in a timely manner and manage all absences effectively.
* To provide mentoring and support for your team of Healthcare Assistants, ensure their skills are matched effectively against our clients needs.
* To provide HR with a specification for replacement Healthcare Assistants and work with the Human Resources Department to recruit replacement Healthcare Assistants as quickly as possible
* To contact all new Healthcare Assistants within 48 hours of referral to introduce all new Healthcare Assistants to clients within 7 days, liaising with senior Management team to ensure smooth start-up of new packages.
* To maintain contact with new Healthcare Assistants, keeping them informed of progress until new packages go live.
* To provide advice, support and cover as part of the management rota and on-call during times of absence (e.g. sickness and holidays), ensure that holidays are planned so that they minimize lack of cover or absence over the same period.
* To undertake return to work interviews and take part in disciplinary procedures as required.
* Be present during shadow shifts, particularly for carers transitioning into new roles or complex care.
* Maintain and update staff records (supervisions, appraisals, training logs) on the online system.
* Troubleshoot basic system issues and escalate IT problems where necessary.
Compliance and Reporting:
* To ensure that the company meets all the requirements of the Quality Care Commission's Standards in respect of the delivery of its service provision.
* To ensure all relevant paperwork is completed accurately and on a timely basis.
* Ensure all MAR charts, Care Plans and relevant documents are quality checked and audited monthly and any issued identified are actioned appropriately.
* That all Client reviews, re-assessments and any risk assessments are completed regularly or when there has been any change of needs.
* Ensure all healthcare assistants are supervised, supported, mentored, and appraised according to UCC policy and procedures.
* To ensure all healthcare assistants are observed in all competences and signed off when competent on both their clinical and care-based competencies. To regularly review their competencies in-line with any changes in the customer's needs.
* Explicit accountability for ensuring compliance with infection prevention and control standards.
· Ensure all CTL activities align with CQC Key Lines of Enquiry (KLOEs): Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive, and Well-Led.
· Participate in audits and contribute to preparing for CQC inspections.
· Take ownership of CTL duties — instructions must be given as the CTL, not attributed to senior managers unless necessary.
· Submit regular reports on supervisions, appraisals, training, and audits to management.
· Be accountable for the accuracy and completeness of all CTL-related work.
Experience
* Proven experience in a complex clinical care ITU/NICU
* Registered Nurse with an Active PIN ideally in the discipline required ( i.e adult/Paediatric
* Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role is advantageous.
* Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
* Must hold a full drivers licence and ability to drive
* Intermediate IT skills, proficient in Microsoft word, excel, and teams
* Excellent communication skills - verbal, written and electronic
