About the DT Team
The Design & Technology department at Trinity School are a passionate and collaborative team, keen to enhance the learning and outcomes of students. Currently at Key stage 3, our curriculum runs on a rotation basis consisting of Food Preparation and Nutrition, Textile Design, and Resistant Materials. At Key stage 4 we offer two GSCE courses - AQA Design & Technology and WJEC Hospitality and Catering. At KS5, AQA Product Design A level is offered. We have 3 full time and 1 part time members of staff and 3 part time technicians within in our team.
About You
While the successful candidate will support the department across all areas, they will have a particular focus on food. Tasks will include preparing equipment ingredients for lessons, maintaining the classrooms and equipment and ensuring that all Health and Safety regulations are adhered to.
You will be responsible for supporting teachers and students in lesson and providing general assistance to the department. Knowledge of food safety and hygiene is essential with previous experience of working in a school environment being desirable.
A positive attitude and calm manner with the ability to organise, prioritise and deal with a demanding workload, which may require standing for long periods, is vital. You will be an excellent communicator, able to work independently or in a team and have a professional approach.
