We are a high-quality fostering organisation, recognised as Outstanding by OFSTED, and one of the UK\'s only independent fostering agencies specialising in cultural and faith-based fostering placements. Since 2012 we have focused on helping children and young people with specific religious or cultural needs find foster parents who share their values and identity. In our 2024 OFSTED inspection we were rated Outstanding in every area. Our head office is in the West Midlands, with offices in Blackburn and coverage across the East Midlands and Yorkshire. We are led by Kulvinder Kaur Sahota as our manager in process of registration, and we maintain a close, supportive staff team.
About The Role
As Fostering Service Manager, you will work closely with Local Authorities, our staff team and foster parents to benefit children and young people. Reporting directly to the Registered Manager, you will provide positive and strong leadership and management to your team to ensure high-quality care for children and young people while supporting and empowering our foster parents. Your responsibilities include:
* Retention and Support: Build strong, trusting relationships with foster parents to enhance retention and satisfaction, ensuring they feel valued and supported at every stage of their journey.
* Wellbeing and Engagement: Foster a culture of empathy and support, prioritising the wellbeing of both staff and foster parents, and creating a positive, inclusive environment.
* Commercial Growth: Develop and implement strategies to promote the commercial growth of the agency, ensuring long-term sustainability and stability.
* Leadership and Development: Lead a dedicated team of social workers, support their professional growth, and maintain high standards of practice.
* Quality Assurance and Compliance: Ensure the service meets and exceeds regulatory standards, focusing on continuous improvement and best practice.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with local authorities, commissioners, and other external partners to promote the agency and strengthen relationships.
About You
You will be a compassionate, resilient, and inspiring leader, committed to delivering positive outcomes for children, young people, and foster families. You should have:
* A recognised social work qualification and registration with Social Work England (or equivalent).
* Significant experience in fostering or children\'s social care.
* A proven track record of supporting and retaining foster parents.
* Strong leadership and team management skills.
* Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
* A commitment to promoting the wellbeing and resilience of both staff and foster families.
