The Role

We wish to appoint a skilled and enthusiastic Catering Officer, to work within our school catering service.

Duties will include basic food preparation and cooking, assisting with the set-up of the dining area, setting out and serving food, clearing away and washing up. To succeed in this role, you will have a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate or equivalent, previous relevant catering experience and knowledge of health and safety practices at work. Good verbal communication and customer care skills are also essential, as is the ability to work successfully as part of a team.

Ability to observe good food and personal hygiene practices Essential

Smart personal appearance and ability to comply with uniform requirements of the post Essential

Willingness to undertake further training/qualifications in catering field Essential

Capable of independent travel between schools Desirable

Special Requirements

Ability to form and maintain appropriate relationships and personal boundaries with children Essential

Suitability to work with children/young people Essential

The ability to communicate at ease and provide advice in accurate spoken English Essential

An enhanced DBS check is required for this post and the successful applicant will either need to apply for a DBS or give Northern Arch Learning Partnership consent to check their status if they are registered with the DBS Update Service.The Trust complies with the Code of Practice issued by the Disclosure and Barring Service.
