Exciting Opportunity: Alcohol Awareness Training Officer
We are looking for a Community and Partnership Trainer to join our team as an Alcohol Awareness Training Officer. In this role, you will use your creativity and adaptability to identify and deliver impactful training to various partners. You will also lead in developing Peer Mentors to assist in delivering the training.

Location: London Victoria
Hours: Full Time - 37.5 hours per week
Salary Range: £35,220.59 - £37,184.91 (dependent on experience, pro rata for part-time)
Allowance: £4,133.14 Outer London Weighting
Contract: Fixed term until March 2026
Responsibilities
About the Role:
* Deliver training and raise awareness across multiple partners.
* Lead the development of Peer Mentors to support training delivery.
* Plan tailored training sessions for recipient staff teams.
* Deliver training on various topics to health and social care partners, as well as non-health and social care organizations.
* Provide training to employers, training providers, schools, and universities when knowledge gaps are identified.
About You:
* Significant experience in relevant services.
* Effective presentation and facilitation skills.
* Experience in delivering training and group work.
* Knowledge in:
o Alcohol Awareness and having difficult conversations
o Understanding the link between substance misuse and trauma
o Working with families, including intergenerational drug and alcohol use
* Excellent understanding of different learning styles and adapting training accordingly.
* Extensive knowledge of issues faced by individuals with substance and alcohol misuse problems.
* Understanding of Safeguarding policies and procedures.
* Proficiency in IT, especially Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
