Operations Supervisor – Doncaster
Our client is a leading European provider of analytical testing services across air, water, dust, soil, asphalt and a wide range of construction materials. They are expanding their operation in Doncaster and looking to recruit an experienced Materials Testing, Geotechnical, CMT Field, Asphalt or Soils & Concrete Technician for this Site Services Operations Supervisory position. The role is 40 hours per week, with varying start and end times, and may include occasional evenings, weekends and bank holidays. The position may also require travel to other UK and Polish locations.
Responsibilities
* Drive site services in Doncaster and potential future locations with responsibility for equipment, staff training and successful UKAS accreditation.
* Continuously improve operational efficiencies and client deliverables, including turnaround times, while maintaining health, safety, quality, technical and commercial standards.
* Liaise with clients and stakeholders to ensure excellent customer service.
* Undertake checking and reporting in accordance with ISO 17025.
* Develop and mentor the Site Services team, organising training as required.
* Promote a company culture that encourages high performance and morale.
* Ensure all legal and regulatory documents are filed and monitor compliance with laws and regulations.
Qualifications
* Good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and Word.
* Experience in geotechnical or ground materials testing.
* Full UK driving licence.
* Strong customer-facing communication skills.
* Excellent attention to detail and ability to work within a quality system.
* Positive attitude and adaptability to new systems and procedures.

* Salary up to £42,000 per annum, depending on skills, abilities and experience.
