Fire Opportunities - Engineer up to Associate Director
Hoare Lea
Overview
Locations: Bristol, Glasgow, London, Manchester.
About The Role
We have exciting opportunities for Fire Engineers at all levels (Engineer to Associate Director) to join our Bristol, Glasgow, London and Manchester offices. Hoare Lea’s Fire Engineering Group is a leading team of experienced fire safety experts, many of whom are Chartered Engineers through the Institution of Fire Engineers. Being part of one of the UK's largest building engineering consultancies, we benefit from collaborating with some of the best engineers in the business, with access to state‑of‑the‑art technical support, and have the opportunity to work on some of the UK's largest and most high‑profile projects as part of a multi‑disciplinary team. The team also works independently on fantastic projects, with many long‑term client relationships.
We have invested heavily in training and research, including computational and numerical modelling, emerging fire risks, new techniques and fire testing. We recently led the design and implementation of two of the world’s largest cross‑laminated timber compartment fire tests in France, validating detailed calculations for a sustainable timber office building. Extensive training opportunities include weekly sessions, training away‑days, innovation days and external conferences. We emphasise enabling our team to achieve Chartered Engineer status, with a programme that has helped many fire engineers obtain CEng.
We are active in key organisations such as the Society for Fire Protection Engineers (SFPE), Smoke Control Association, BSI Group and Institution of Fire Engineers.
