Calling all compassionate and dedicated individuals! Mencap is seeking passionate Relief Support Workers to join our team in Doncaster.
Note: Due to the nature of this service, we are looking for female-only applicants. This post is exempt under the Equality Act, Schedule 9, Part 1.
As a Support Worker, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with learning disabilities. You will work with a diverse group of people, each with their own abilities and needs.
Responsibilities include assisting with daily activities, providing emotional support, personal care, cooking, cleaning, administering medication, managing finances, attending health appointments, and facilitating access to community activities such as hairdressing, social outings, shopping, and day trips.
This service supports four ladies with different personalities, who enjoy outings, activities, and holidays.
What we're looking for:
* A genuine passion for supporting others.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships.
* Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
* A positive, empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities.
Drivers with access to their own vehicle are preferred but not essential.
Contract options:
Relief position, flexible to your needs and circumstances.
Shift times:
Our services operate 24 hours. Shifts are scheduled at least 6 weeks in advance, with options including days, sleep-ins (with an enhanced payment of £62.45), evenings, and weekends.
