We are currently supporting a leading pharmaceutical company in North Yorkshire with an exciting opportunity for a QC Microbiology Manager to join their growing quality function.
As a QC Microbiology Manager, you will:
* Lead the QC microbiology laboratory and ensure smooth day to day testing operations
* Oversee environmental monitoring and microbiological testing, including bioburden and LAL
* Lead and support investigations including OOS, deviations and environmental excursions
* Provide technical leadership, coaching and development to the microbiology team
* Support continuous improvement initiatives and the introduction of new methods and technologies
* Work closely with manufacturing and QA teams to support batch release and site quality standards
Qualifications
* Strong QC microbiology experience within a GMP pharmaceutical environment
* Hands‑on experience with environmental monitoring and bioburden testing
* Experience with investigations, SOPs and quality systems
* Leadership experience or readiness to step into a managerial role
