Overview:
A well-established professional services organisation is looking to appoint a Graduate / Trainee Trust Accountant to join its in-house Trust, Executry and Charity Accounting team, which supports a broader private client and tax-focused function.
This role is ideal for a recent graduate or someone with up to 12 years experience in accounting or finance who is keen to develop specialist expertise in trust, executry and charity accounting. Full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Supporting the preparation of accounts for trusts, executries and charitable entities under the guidance of senior team members
2. Assisting with periodic accounting work from initial set-up through to completion
3. Helping prepare trust accounts across a range of structures, including life interest, discretionary, bare and multi-fund trusts
4. Assisting with reconciliations of trust cash accounts and asset registers
5. Supporting liaison with internal or external tax advisers regarding tax retentions and trust tax positions
6. Assisting with executry accounting work, ranging from straightforward to more complex estates as experience develops
