Electronics Design Engineer – Clevedon, Somerset
Salary: £50,000 – £55,000 per annum. Hybrid schedule: 2x per week from home. 25 days Bank Holidays. Private GP Healthcare cashback scheme. C2W scheme. Bonus.
Role
This role involves designing and developing analogue and digital electronics solutions from concept through to production, working within a collaborative environment that values technical excellence and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
* Design and support analogue and digital power and control circuits across the full product lifecycle.
* Perform schematic capture, PCB layout design, prototyping, testing, and validation.
* Translate technical and commercial requirements into robust, manufacturable design solutions.
* Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams.
* Produce comprehensive technical documentation.
* Present designs at formal review stages.
* Ensure all designs comply with relevant safety, regulatory, and quality standards.
Qualifications
* Degree in Power Electronics, Embedded Electronics, or Embedded Systems.
* Proven experience in hardware system design.
* Proficient in schematic capture and PCB layout using OrCAD.
* Skilled in the use of electrical test and measurement equipment.
