Advanced Cross-Sectional Radiographer

The post holder will be required to deliver a high-quality Cross-Sectional service in line with department standards procedures and protocols, organising staff, resources and activity, to deliver a safe, effective and efficient service that meets both patient/families/carers, and staff requirements.
Required to participate in a 24/7 on-call service provision as rostered including weekends and Bank Holidays.
Required to participate in the Long Day rota as/when required (08:00-18:30)
Be responsible for own CPD and professional and personal development.
Main duties of the job
To be responsible and accountable for undertaking all aspects of Cross-sectional imaging, employing a high level of skill and experience in a range of standard and complex examinations whilst optimising the care of children and young people.
The post holder will provide specialist advice in Cross sectional Imaging.
The post holder will be responsible for helping to manage specialist radiographers, including recruitment, appraisal, CPD and performance across the modality.
The post holder will manage the work of staff in Cross sectional Imaging and develop a culture in which members of staff are continuously improving the delivery of high-quality services. The post holder will ensure the development and acceptance of challenging but realistic objectives for staff and through leadership, motivation and systematic performance management, achieve the required results - financial, professional, managerial and from a governance perspective.

Qualifications
* HCPC Registration
* Evidence of continuing professional development
Knowledge & Nature of Experience
* Evidenced experience of cross sectional clinical practice in an NHS or similar organisational environment
* Competent to undertake a range of specialist MR and CT examinations using highly complex equipment.
* Evidenced experience of working with Paediatric patients
* Evidence of up to date knowledge of MRI and CT procedures and protocols
* Proven record of day-to-day operational management experience

* Ability to make decisions

* Excellent time management and prioritization skills
