Based in Scotland - Glasgow Edinburgh
To provide professional Surveying & Project managed services in connection with domestic and commercial buildings for High Net Worth, Major Loss and other complex claims.
The successful candidate will need to have a willingness to travel within the UK and flexibility in working arrangements to meet business requirements.
To visit damaged properties and assess technical and insurance aspects required to resolve insurance claims and to reinstate damaged buildings.
Liaise with clients, policyholders, local authorities, third parties, claims handlers and other work colleagues as required.
The role will be home based, and the employee will be required to maintain a suitable home office environment. There will be a requirement to attend local company offices from time to time. A company car will be provided and full driver’s licence is required.
What will your day look like:
* To provide professional Surveying & Project managed services in connection with domestic and commercial buildings for Major Loss claims
* To actively project manage / progress and control all cases
* Ensure technical accuracy of the highest standard
* Produce high quality personalised outgoing correspondence
* Handle customers effectively and fairly in line with HNW insurers requirements
* Build effective relationships with Adjusters, clients and brokers
* Produce reports, tender documents and contract administration of highest quality
* Work within a team environment to achieve best results either on individual losses or group results

Knowledge and Abilities:
* Required to have previous experience within a similar role.
* Educated to degree level in an appropriate discipline, e.g. Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Building Surveying, or similar.
* Enthusiastic
* Top quality interpersonal skills
* Understanding and recognition of Customer Service and Quality
* Ability to work in a fast paced and changing environment.
* Dependability and persistence are essential.
* Good Numeracy skills
* Completely flexible approach and adaptable to changing priorities.
* Accustomed to working under pressure in a fast pace, demanding environment.
* Liaison with: Directors, Associate Directors, Managers, Loss Adjusters, Support Staff, Clients, Customers, Suppliers as necessary.
* Full, clean driving license required.
* Reports and accountable to: Head of Subsidence and Surveying
