We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Caretaker to join a welcoming secondary school in WN6 on a 6-month temporary assignment. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the school site, providing a safe, clean and well-maintained environment for staff and pupils.
Key Responsibilities:
* Opening and securing the school premises each day
* Carrying out minor repairs and general maintenance tasks
* Supervising contractors when required
* Maintaining health & safety standards across the site
* Supporting with cleaning, groundskeeping and site management duties
* Being a key point of contact for facilities-related issues
The Ideal Candidate:
* Previous experience in a caretaker or site management role (school experience desirable but not essential)
* Good practical skills for maintenance and repair tasks
* Strong awareness of health & safety procedures
* Reliable, flexible and proactive with a can-do attitude
* Able to work independently and as part of a team
