The Role
As an Ocean Export Coordinator, you will manage the end-to-end ocean export process, ensuring shipments are handled smoothly, efficiently, and in compliance with international regulations. You will liaise with clients, carriers, and internal teams to deliver a high level of service and operational excellence.
Ocean Export Coordinator Key Responsibilities:
* Manage ocean export shipments from booking to final delivery.
* Prepare and process export documentation, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and customs declarations.
* Coordinate with carriers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to ensure timely shipments.
* Track and monitor shipments, providing regular updates to customers.
* Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and company policies.
* Work closely with internal teams, including sales and customer service, to resolve any shipment issues.
* Maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring excellent customer service.
* Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
What We’re Looking For:
* Experience: 2-3 years in an ocean export role (preferred).
* Knowledgeable: Understanding of export documentation, customs regulations, and shipping processes.
* Organized & Detail-Oriented: Ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines effectively.
* Strong Communicator: Ability to liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal teams professionally.
* Commercially Minded: A proactive problem-solver who understands business needs.
* Energetic & Enthusiastic: Someone with a positive attitude who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
