The Authorisations Division ensures the firms and individuals who apply to us to be authorised orapprovedunderstand how wetest they will comply with our regulation.We use authorisation to help deliver our public offer and as a tool to protect consumers from the harm that can be caused by bad conduct in the financial services industry. The division is also home to 2 of our most important external services – our Supervision Hub and the Financial Services Register.
The Register and Authorisations services department is currently at the forefront of two FCA priorities, seeking to strengthen our operational and regulatory excellence: enhancing the application journey with new forms at the gateway and improving our Financial Services Register products.
The Register Authorisations Services department is seeking to recruit a highly collaborative and motivated individual skilled in stakeholder management to help facilitate the successful roll-out and embedding of these exciting transformation projects.
What will you be doing?
* Engage across the FCA to scope and determine impact of changes, supporting effective business implementation
* Provide strategic oversight of the adoption and embedding of business-led change and other changes against Authorisations’ business plan and objectives, as well as the FCA strategy
* Deeply understand the purpose and functionality of the Register and forms to support implementation of complex requirements and help identify/escalate challenges
* Lead a group of Business Implementation Managers (BIMs) to identify challenges and coordinate business-led change across the division
* Support the Register and Gateway projects directly, as well as ensuring coordination across business-led change, projects in the Change portfolio and other initiatives to enable thoughtful implementation
* Supporting the Register Authorisations Services department leadership team to engage the department to improve our local ways of working and improving staff engagement & morale

* Prior experience in the delivery of change management on projects and experience in programme management, understanding the links between projects
* Prior experience in the delivery of stakeholder management, including experience with liaising with senior stakeholders
* Prior experience and a strong understanding of regulation and or experience working in a regulatory area

* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, both writing and face-to-face
* Skilled at facilitation and an ability to challenge and work constructively with SMEs from across the business to deliver outcomes, drawing on strong knowledge and understanding of regulatory processes and requirements

* Ability to translate business requirements into functional outcomes, in a strong understanding of processes and business architecture, particularly the authorisations process
* Ability to matrix manage large multi-disciplinary teams across multiple workstreams
* Possession of strong business acumen, able to pick up quickly the content and business knowledge required
