Our client is seeking a Finance Reporting Manager to join their team on a hybrid basis, based in Basingstoke. This role is outside IR35.
This position involves responsibilities such as month-end processes, technical accounting, group and subsidiary statutory accounts, audit coordination, and other ad hoc activities.
Responsibilities include:
1. Preparing notes for consolidated group accounts.
2. Completing statutory accounts for subsidiaries and managing audits with external auditors.
3. Owning month-end procedures, including reporting and forecasting of the group's £2.2bn debt, pensions, and share-based payments.
4. Posting central journals, balance sheet reconciliations, and control activities.
5. Driving process improvements in month-end and year-end procedures.
6. Monitoring and reporting compliance with debt covenants and WBS debt documentation.
7. Handling accounting related to debt issues, redemptions, and refinancing, including technical papers for auditors and the Audit Committee.
8. Monthly accounting of derivatives and maintaining hedging documentation.
9. Responding to accounting queries and drafting papers on group accounting matters.
10. Ensuring compliance with IFRS & FRS 101, including impact assessments for new standards.
11. Performing ad hoc analysis and projects, such as refinancing activities.
Capabilities, Knowledge, and Experience:
1. Experience in an accountancy environment with comprehensive financial control knowledge.
2. Strong technical accounting expertise.
3. Numerate with excellent communication, report writing, and stakeholder management skills.
4. High-quality work suitable for senior stakeholders and auditors.
Education and Qualifications:
* Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA)
