Are you a Mental Health Nurse looking for an exciting opportunity to make a real difference? We invite you to join our well-established and innovative Living Well Team based in the beautiful town of Matlock.

Our multidisciplinary team delivers both short-term and long-term interventions for adults with complex mental health needs, offering a diverse and rewarding role in a supportive and forward-thinking environment.

We’re seeking warm, engaging, and person-centred professionals who are committed to empowerment and recovery for service users and their families. To be considered, you must:

6. Hold a Mental Health Nursing qualification

7. Have post-qualification experience in mental health

8. Be a strong communicator who demonstrates respect, dignity, and compassion

You’ll be part of a team that offers a broad range of interventions, tailored to meet the diverse needs of our service users, always with a focus on recovery.

Main duties of the job

9. Provide specialist mental health nursing interventions to adults with severe and enduring mental health needs within a community setting.

10. Manage a defined caseload of service users, delivering recovery-focused, person-centred care.

11. Undertake comprehensive assessments, risk assessments, and develop and review care plans under the Care Programme Approach (CPA).

12. Contribute to and support the team’s duty system, responding to urgent or unplanned needs.

13. Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team, maintaining strong communication with colleagues, service users, carers, and partner agencies.

14. Act as a mentor and role model to junior staff and students, offering supervision and guidance.

15. Maintain accurate and timely clinical records in line with trust policies and professional standards.

16. Support service users in their recovery journey, promoting independence, social inclusion, and overall well-being.

17. Apply up-to-date knowledge of relevant NMC standards and ensure high standards of professional practice.

18. Travel independently across the Derbyshire Dales area to meet the needs of the service.
