Join Our Team as a Governance and Controls Specialist!
Are you ready to make a significant impact in a dynamic environment? We are looking for a passionate individual to drive our Governance and Controls agenda. In this role, you will ensure that our processes and business operations align perfectly with the ICE framework and the Finance Manual.
Your Mission
Your primary goal will be to create an efficient control environment, lead work programs targeting specific risk areas, and continuously improve our controls. You will also play a crucial role in upskilling associates on their responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
* Identify and Prevent Control Issues: Conduct ICE audits and reviews to pinpoint risk areas.
* Ensure Effective Controls: Design and document control procedures that align with the ICE and Finance Manual.
* Develop Remediation Plans: Create and implement plans to mitigate identified risks, including Segregation of Duties (SoD).
* Close Internal Audit Observations: Follow up on audit findings and support external audits as needed.
* Fraud and Theft Response: Identify and respond appropriately to fraud risks, including R25 reporting.
* Policy Updates: Ensure local S&F policies and procedures are current.
* Support QMP and Indirect Buying: Contribute to the unit's agenda.
* Champion Controls and Governance: Foster a culture of governance across the business.
What We’re Looking For
* Experience: Proven background in Financial or Audit departments.
* Understanding: Strong grasp of internal control environments and accounting processes.
* Technical Skills: Advanced knowledge in Financial Processes and Controls, Accounting, and ERP systems.
* Competencies: Action-oriented, results-driven, excellent planning and prioritization skills, and the ability to navigate ambiguity.
