Mechanical Fitting Lead
Typically, this person will be responsible for mechanical assembly and installation of components on industrial water treatment systems. This role also includes leading a 3‑man team of mechanical fitters, to fit and align pumps, valves, brackets, gauges, and other mechanical elements on large industrial machinery. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical fitting skills, a high level of precision, and a proactive approach to quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
1. Production Supervision
o Oversee daily shop floor operations and ensure production schedules are achieved.
o Assign tasks to production workers.
o Minimize downtime and address bottlenecks promptly.
o Lead by example.
2. Team Leadership
o Supervise, train, and mentor shop floor personnel.
o Conduct shift briefings and communicate production goals.
o Enforce company policies and discipline when necessary.
o Foster teamwork and maintain high morale among workers.
3. Quality Control
o Ensure products meet company and customer quality standards.
o Monitor compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
o Coordinate with the Quality Control department on inspections and corrective actions.
o Investigate and resolve quality issues.
4. Health & Safety Compliance
o Enforce workplace safety regulations and company safety policies.
o Conduct regular safety checks and toolbox talks.
o Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
o Report and document accidents or near‑miss incidents.
5. Equipment & Maintenance Coordination
o Monitor machine performance and ensure proper operation.
o Coordinate preventive maintenance with the maintenance department.
o Report equipment breakdowns and follow up on repairs.
o Ensure tools and materials are available for production.
6. Reporting & Documentation
o Maintain daily production reports and shift logs.
o Track attendance, overtime, and workforce performance.
o Report production output, delays, and issues to management.
o Maintain inventory usage and material records.
Required Qualifications
* Diploma or technical certification in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, or related field (preferred).
* 3–5 years of experience in manufacturing or industrial operations.
* Previous supervisory experience preferred.

Hours of Work: 40 per week, 7am‑3pm Monday to Friday
