We hail from diverse walks of life, forming a vibrant community of change-makers. Our ultimate goal? To amplify awareness of LGBTQ matters and advocate for the rights that ensure equal lives for all. This role has a flexible start time however we would be looking for someone who can start as soon as possible and by no later then April 30th. Availability to volunteer on the day of the event (Saturday 5th July) is essential. This role carries an average volunteer time of 6-10 hours per week. Your Role The Event Directorate has four departments - Events, Pride’s Got Talent, Stages & Hospitality. The Head of Stages is responsible for delivering an authoritative, inclusive, diverse production across currently four sites on the day of Pride in London: Leicester Square, Dean Street, Golden Square, and Trafalgar Square, including, when required, additional talent support to Family Area. They must have a significant events knowledge of large-scale events and an understanding of production and how this links to the end-to-end event process. They need to lead from the front as the Stages Team is one of our most prominent and visible, so be a great team player willing to share duties. Your Responsibilities People Recruitment of team & ongoing review of structure, roles and responsibilities of team Regular, scheduled meetings with the team to ensure the team is on track and flag anything that isn’t going to plan to the Director of Operations and Events Track all stage's progress and escalate any concerns Work with the Talent Team to ensure that they are across all key artists' requests that might affect the wider team Regularly attend Pride in London meetings to be the face of the organisation Role model for Pride in London’s values and behaviours in the way they act and present themselves Support by providing necessary tools/knowledge/experience to enable delivery of plans for each stage Identifies talent to ensure succession within the team Set realistic objectives for the team in line with the Director of Operations and Events objectives Financials Control of costs within budget set by the Events Director Seeks out opportunities to reduce or remove costs, such as production costs Ensure that production is in the interests of the LGBT community and meets with diversity and inclusion. Maintain high levels of awareness surrounding current threats and challenges to the LGBT Community. Advise directors of risks and potential mitigation. Pride in London Seeks out opportunities to extend & drive reach, propelling the brand globally Specific Stages Maintain records of equipment/stationary and other suppliers purchased by Pride in London to produce stages and ensured all was stored safely throughout the year.
