POSITION SUMMARY:
As our Permit Coordinator, you'll ensure our installation projects are ready by compiling all necessary documents for permitting and obtaining building permits for PV and PV+ Storage systems. You'll collaborate with the branch team, company designers, and city officials to prepare and review paperwork for permit approvals.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Organize and maintain permit pipelines, escalating issues as needed.
2. Contact cities and counties for application processes, costs, status updates, and jurisdiction confirmation.
3. Ensure submissions meet SLA, and respond to all AHJ requests within 24 hours.
4. Prepare routes for permit techs, including submitting and issuing permits, researching at AHJs, visiting customer homes for signatures, and other tasks.
5. Complete permit applications, print project plans per AHJ and SOW requirements, and submit plans electronically.
6. Upload approved plans to CRM/ERP and notify the design team of any corrections.
7. Utilize BI reports for decision-making and reprioritization.
8. Coordinate with accounting for checks, record accuracy, and return voided checks.
9. Manage expense reports, ensuring weekly submission deadlines are met.
10. Perform other duties as assigned.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* 2+ years of administrative and customer service experience.
* 1 year of permit experience preferred.
* 1 year of solar experience preferred.
* Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects.
* Excellent organizational and communication skills.
* Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other applications.
* Experience with Docusign, Adobe PDF, Outlook, Excel, Word preferred.
* Experience working with municipal electrical and building departments.
* Ability to meet project deadlines.
* Team-oriented and collaborative work approach.
* Willingness to attend weekly webinars or departmental calls.
* Discretion and confidentiality are essential.
* Strong follow-through skills.
* High school diploma or GED.
* Valid state driver’s license required.
